Q: Can you explain why I find that once my carpets were cleaned, they seem to attract soil quickly, and stay wet for a long time. My carpets often need to be cleaned more often. Why?
A: That is true with many cleaning methods because soap or chemical residues naturally attract soil. These residues must be completely rinsed out and with complete extraction to ensure the carpeting or upholstery has a bright and new appearance. If you don’t extract the soil in your carpet with clean hot water after a rotary shampoo, the soil may resurface later. Using the “Unique” method we often get comments that customers can actually see a big difference in the color of the carpeting or upholstery once we’ve loosened the embedded soil and extract that residue.
Q: What cleaning method do you recommend?
A: At Unique Upholstery, Carpet, & Rug Cleaning Inc. we gently rotary shampoo the entire carpet with a soft nylon brush and then hand shampoo all stairs, with a hand brush. We then rinse and extract the entire carpet at least twice with clean hot water to ensure to extract the soil and residue.
Yes all those dark edges along the baseboards will be thoroughly cleaned by hand. For added protection your floors are covered with tarps and all corners are protected with corner guards.
Q: What type of equipment do you use?
