EDGAR ALANIS

President/CEO

Edgar Alanis is the President/CEO of the Northbrook established company, Unique Upholstery, Carpet and Rug Cleaning. He manages the day-to-day operations and works In the field with his partner. Prior to acquiring the business from founder Unique Larry Rosenthal, he dedicated 16 years as a technician, team lead and job site manager where he specialized in cleaning and restoring upholstery, carpets and other surfaces in residential homes. In 2024, he took over the business to continue the Unique mission of providing exceptional customer service with top quality products.

In 2009, Edgar joined Unique as a technician and moved into the management role after 8 years. He underwent IICRC training to become certified in professional cleaning, maintenance and restoration. Over all these years, he has gained wide knowledge of the eco-friendly and pet-friendly products and services that are used, became a diligent team leader and mentor to his peers, and established a great reputation for white glove customer service amongst their customers.

Outside of managing Unique, Edgar is a wonderful husband and proud father to two young boys. He enjoys watching sports (Go Cubs!), going to music and food festivals, traveling and spending time with his family. Edgar and his wife, Jessica, have a mutual enjoyment for playing pool and have been in a pool league for 8 years.
